As we approach the year 2020's summer it is still uncertain about the future of the Rotary members-to-member link. Although the "hands facing space" idea is definitely a part of our daily routine it is clear that the trust of Rotary has been growing and more people are forming contact with each other. Rotary's changed. While we are in the summer months of 2021 there's a lingering sense of uncertainty in how our social service includes the highly valued connections between people that were enjoyed by Rotary members in previous times. Even though the "hands in space" mantra is sure to become a routine in the club, there's no doubt that there is a feeling of trust is developing and more people have been able to make connections face-to-face. Rotary's changed. Rotary has evolved. The way we conduct our business has been redesigned to keep online meetings at the forefront of our organizations, and we are introducing services and social activities in the face-to-face method. To build a better future for Rotary and our members, we've tapped into opportunities created by the epidemic and our previous routines. A recent Rotary survey it was heartening to find that 75% of clubs have started organizing their activities regular initiatives" The summer months saw many of our members out and about focussing on projects such as beaches and rivers being cleaned, trash picking and of course the ongoing service for the community from Rotary volunteers who volunteer their time and energy to help COVID vaccination and test centres. In the course of a Rotary survey conducted recently it was encouraging to find the fact that 75% clubs had planned their normal events and initiatives that were previously beneficial to communities in Great Britain and Ireland. It is great to see that the Rotary support center team offers important resources to assist with the maintenance and promotion of the infrastructure. It also helps keep people who are members safe. Insurance and compliance are also important. We're extremely proud of the innovative ways our members are able to be in tackling the most difficult issues facing society. Rotary gave me, and many others with a community of trustworthy like-minded individuals from which I've developed genuine friendships in the last 20 years.
