The summer of 2021 is expected to bring a new level of uncertainty about what we can do to continue the important human connection which was enjoyed by Rotary during the past. The motto "hands-face-space" is sure to be commonplace in our organization, it's evident that trust is growing and there are more face-to -face interactions. Rotary has, however, evolved. There is still a level of uncertainty moving through summer 2021. It is yet to be seen how the personal connections Rotary participants valued during the past will remain. While the motto of "hands-in-space" will always be a part of our everyday routine It is clear that confidence is growing as are the more direct relationships. Rotary's face has changed. Rotary networks help to build lasting relationships. In order to keep the business meetings we hold online we've brought back service and social gatherings in a environment that is a face-to-face. The new opportunities we have discovered are combining with the lessons we have learned from previous outbreaks to bring a fresh new outlook for Rotary. A recent Rotary survey showed that about 75% of clubs are planning to keep their "business like regular" projects and activities which previously assisted communities in Great Britain and Ireland. Additionally, I am proud of how the Rotary Support Team is continuing to provide valuable resources in order to promote and help with the various initiatives. They also maintain infrastructures that keep members safe and ensure the safety of the general public. Insurance and compliance is important. Our members' creativity and innovative thinking in solving some of life's toughest challenges is astonishing. I am thankful for the opportunity that Rotary provided me with in 2002, to be a member. Rotary gave me, and many other people an extensive network of trustworthy like-minded individuals from whom I've formed genuine relationships in the last 20 years.
